Grid Accumulator – Complete Guide

How grid strategy earns from volatility and increases asset amount.

How Grid Earns

Grid Accumulator is a grid strategy: you define a price range and the bot repeatedly buys lower and sells higher within it. Profit accumulates in the asset (e.g. BTC), not in fiat.

Key Points

Bot places limit orders at regular intervals (delta)
Each completed cycle (buy + sell) brings a small profit
More volatility means more trades and profits

Capital Allocation (Fiat vs Crypto)

Capital is split into two parts: fiat/stablecoin part is for buying during dips, crypto part is for selling during rises.

Fiat Part (e.g. USDT)

Waits for dips. When price drops, bot buys more crypto.

Crypto Part (e.g. BTC)

Waits for rises. When price goes up, bot sells some and takes profit.

Example

$10,000 capital → $6,000 in BTC and $4,000 in USDT. During dip, bot buys BTC with USDT. During rise, sells BTC for USDT and small part stays as profit.

How to Choose Range and Delta

Range determines the price band where bot trades. Delta determines the step size between trades.

Range

We recommend setting based on historical volatility. Too narrow range = price leaves quickly. Too wide = few trades.

Delta (% Step)

Smaller delta = more trades, smaller profit per trade. Larger delta = fewer trades, bigger profit per trade. We recommend 0.5% – 2%.

Risks and What Happens Outside Range

Grid Accumulator is not without risks. It's important to understand what happens in extreme situations.

Price Goes Up (Above Range)

Bot sells all crypto and waits. You have profit in fiat, but if price continues up, you miss further gains.

Price Goes Down (Below Range)

Bot buys all crypto and waits. You hold crypto that lost value – but if price returns, you start earning again.

Long Trend Without Volatility

Grid earns from swings. If price moves one direction for long without return, bot doesn't trade and earns nothing.
